My trip to Hatyai.
Monday, October 15th, 2007The day didn’t start right. I overslept, tks to the alarm bell & my mobile phone that didn’t ring (Received a lot of missed call frm Joline).I thought I will have missed out the trip as I was late by 45min’s I think.Thank god! So kind of them to have them waited for me.
The trip……
Jammed towards the Malaysian immigration dept.
Waited for two hrs to crossed over to Hatyai.
Finally after hrs of delay, and we are in Hatyai.Yay!!!!
The chow down time….
Noodles with some raw veges and the sauce tasted curry with coconut milk.
Fried noodles. Almost looks like our ‘Char Koay Teow’
Beef Koay Teow Soup. The soup is spicy. It seems like a lot of pepper in it.
Fried oysters. I like the crunchiness of it.
Pumpkin, bread and leong fan for dessert.I know the combination seems weird as at first I dunno what the brown stuff.Out of curiosity I choose it. After eating and seeing the skin of the brown stuff only, aunt jenny and aunt Helen said that it must be pumpkin.(Not bad the taste)
I eat the sausages with the hot sauce.Yummy but kinda hot.
Then at night,we went to watch the cabaret dances and dinner at Hansa Plaza.I got one of the dancer’s pics wearing scantily. So I think it is not good for me to put it up here. :P. Can believe that they used to a men before they turn into a women.
The show. They are wearing Chinese costume.
Top to clockwise: Tauhu that
tasted like smoked, seafood tomyam in the small bowl, fish balls & mixed vegetables.
The waiters uniforms looks like a mechanic overall.Hmmm…something different,I guess.
Supper time. Bird’s nest which cost abt RM 10
2nd day.
We had ‘tok-tok mee’ for breakfast and chicken.I feel that the style is almost the same like the taiwanese noodles
The chicken tasted the same like the one at Penang.Justthe sauce tasted different.I prefer the darker sauce then the red ones over there.
Later we went to the market,on the way I had fried chicken and a coconut drink.I also bought manggo with sticky rice. Alternative to manggo, you can choose to have durian with sticky rice instead.
Wanted to go to the Robinson shopping complex, but it was not opened yet.We found out that it open on 10.30am Hatyai time.Meaning that,11.30am Malaysian time. Since we gonna have lunch 12noon(malaysian time),we headed back to Hotel to freshen ourself.
After our lunch,we headed back to Penang. Luckily this time, when we head towards the immgration dept, there was no human jam. Thank godness!
Bye-Bye Hatyai…till then if got the chance to visit again.
