Meus Lacuna

First day to work after the holiday,my mind is somewhere else right now,perhaps in KL where we are enjoying ourself at during the Chrismas holiday.Just come back from KL yesterday after staying at a friend’s apartment at Setapak Ria Apt. for 4 days 3 nights.

The fist day arrive at KL is already late,abt 11 something.Thanks to Swee Phaik for letting us stay at her room in Setapak Ria Apt.Then we hang out at the nearest mamak stall because we are hungry due to we all have to rush to catch the bus at 7.30pm after work on Friday.Went to sleep abt.3am.

The second day,couldn’t really sleep the whole night.Have been lying on the bed untill 10am.Wake up the next morning with swollen eyes.My friends says my left eye is a bit more swollen then the other eye,Hahaha.Went out shopping abt 12noon together with Ying as she come and drop by at Phaik’s place first.Together we went to Times Square,Sungai Wang and Petaling Street for shopping. Bought a shirt and a pants at Sungai Wang.Nothing much in Petaling Street, much of the shop was closed.Maybe it was due to the rain,manage to buy a knacksack and a watch there.After that went to Starhill for Chrismas countdown at Segafredo.A lot of ppl there, and we also join in the madness of spraying fake Chrismas snow and streamers from an areosol tin.Went back abt 12.10pm.Found out that enforcement officer have been raiding the Petaling Street from the newspaper when we reach home.That’s explain the fewer dealers as compare to the usual day.Went to sleep at 3.30am after girlie talk with the girls.

The third day, I sleep better then the  previous night.The five of us went shopping again at KLCC and Mid Valley.After that went to have supper at Jalan Imbi for their famous desserts.Bought some fancy pencils, almost amounting to RM 20 ++.Went back and watch "The Promise " and ended up slepping late abt. 3.30am. Tommorow will be leaving for Penang with 9.30am bus.Sure will be slepply. ZZZZzzzz.

The fourth day,have the nicest sleep compare to the days I slept in KL during this few days.I had to be woken up by friend.Almost 8am by then. Quickly shower and  together with the girls went to Puduraya to meet a friend from KL who is back going back to Penang also.Number of ppl go to Pg-KL = 3ppl. Now the number of ppl go to KL-Pg = 4. Hahaha, at least I don’t have to sit with a stranger in the bus.

Finally reach home at abt.3pm, as the bus start the journey at 10am due to overload of ppl.So they have to check again the passengers list.It took more than 4 hours to reach Penang because it stop at Butterworth. I din’t know that the bus could skip Butterworth if u ask the ticketing ppl to issue direct to Penang without stopping at Butterworth. Nevermind then,at least I know it now.

After much saying,and fickle minded decision make by friends to go to KL, finally I’m back from KL holiday.Yay!!It almost changed my mind of not going to KL, as I don’t like to travel alone.Back then I was hoping so much to have a holiday although I’m busy with work.Thought it was good to unwind once in a while.Hehehe now that we are planning to go to Genting next……..will it be succesful ?Let’s see abt.it then. (If U have any plans to go for holidays,don’t forget to include me! :P)

PS: We ended up in Penang with not much shopping goods with us including me.That’s all I bought in KL during the stay. Wen who follow us back to Penang, said she would have bought  a lot of clothes back if she were to shop in so many places. Hahahaha, I guess that the clothes doesn’t suit me,or the price is pricey or equivalent to the price at Penang.(Don’t you think so girls?)

Tks to Joline for comment on my mistakes,for I’m one forgetful person who miswrote the place we went. It is corrected already now. And not to forget Ying for some of the nice pics she take on the X’mas eve and comming down to Phaik’s place to meet us.Once again tks to Phaik for her hospitality for letting us stay in her room when she have to share with other roomate pulak!

There is a saying that goes " PEOPLE MIGHT HAVE FORGET WHAT U SAID,BUT PEOPLE WILL NEVER FORGET HOW YOU TREAT THEM" so there it goes for now, untill then……

As usual, me the troublesome sis will have to trouble my bro.The story goes like this.

On Tue 21 Dec,I went to Gurney plaza to do some X’mas shopping for the exchange gift party and to buy some movie tickets for the next day show.I have been circling  the Gurney Plaza area for a few rounds before I spotted a compound near to some shops that sells kitchen things along Mc Donald have a parking space.So I reverse my car to park inside the compound of people’s office. Then ‘BOOM"……OH shit! Have I bump into someones car while I was reversing.Turning my head to look, the car is still half a meter a way from my car.Pheww! Then I hoped that it wasn’t my car that was in trouble now.True enough as I try to press the accelerator my car won’t move.Bingo!You have guess it right.It was my car tyre that went into the drain.Right now the car won’t bulge as the whole tyre is now inside the drain.What a mistake I make!I assume that the place got iron grille to cover the drain.Two others car park there with grille over the drain but no iron grille at my place. What to do now ? It’s  abt. 9pm already.The first thing that went into to my mind is to ask for help.Straight away I think of my bro.

me: Hello,big bro.Where are You now?Still working?I’m in trouble now.

bb:Hello! I’m at home already?Let me guess,u are stuck somewhere again right?

me:Yeah,How do u know?Nevermind that. I’m stuck somewhere near Gurney plaza.My car tyre went into the drain.I think you gotta need some help from others to help to lift up the car up as the car bumper have touched the floor already. It is very deep.Bring whatever u can.

bb:I think I will bring along some sticks,planks and ropes.Whatever I can find.Maybe younger bro can help also.Where did u park your car?

me.Huh? younger bro?kesian him lah. He where got strength?Two people not enough lah.I park my car next to a office compound.I think u have to drive passed the MD car park and there is a road on your left.My car is just at that compound near to that road.(Suddenly there s another voice talking to my bro).Who is that talking to you?

bb:Oh,my friend TS came today.

me: Great!Maybe u can ask for his help also.Haha,just kidding nia,paiseh also to trouble your friend.Ummm…don’t let mom know yet.If she knows she will be saying "aiya,how u drive car one,why you are so careless….when i drive that time also didn’t  have this kind of problem.Sooner or later the car condition is getting worse at your hand, u don’t know how to take care of your car? ……" (mimicking mom) Haahaha!

bb:Wah! In this kind of situation some more can laugh ?

me:Ya,why not? I’m suppose to be angry at this situation? No point getting upset over it as it won’t help me get out of here.(Just laughing at my stupid driving skills.)

bb: OK,I will get there as soon as possible.

me: OK, u can come 15 Min’s later as i have to collect the ticket also.

bb: call me when u are done.

I went to collect my tickets at GSC,and manage to bought only cute magnets for X’mas gift.However that night I don’t have the mood to do present hunting.Will look for it some other day.Sigh!

Call him after comming out of Gurney.He said he is already there with younger bro at my car. Finally,manage to get my car out,after using two car-jacks,strength to lift and some iron grille found at that compound.

Thank you big bro for always being there to help me when I  find myself in a helpless situation.This is one of the situation. Not to forget my younger bro who is also readily to assist me also.You are the heroes in my life,who have come to save the situation from a damsel in distress like me. Hahahaha.

When I wake up this morning,it is still raining.Last night I woke up twice,because it’s so cold.This morning,I don’t feel like going to work,somehow it’s a Sat.How nice if I get to sleep longer on rainy days where the weather is cold.The water is so cold especially if you leave it overnight.Nevertheless I still have to bathe in that water.

Since it rain the whole night,it make my car even harder to start in the morning.Sigh!Luckily there was no flood.

In the office,it is also cold.Have three air-cond in my department.Normally if it is a cloudy day,the place that I’m sitting will be cold also because there is an air-cond just located 3 metres behind my desk. The temperature will be 30C for the air cond behind my desk,because i can’t stand the cold.One day the  air -cond ppl. came and service the air cond in the office,they thought the unit behind my desk  needs servicing,then they realise that the temperature is sets to the warmest.HAHAHA.While I’m typing this my fingers is already cold.Blurrrr……

I think I’m gonna switch the air cond off before I shivers in this tropical climate.(Where got ppl shivers in this climate?Hhahaha)

Enjoy myself yesterday at at the Starwalk Charity Concert. Couldn’t finish the actual blog on The Starwalk Charity concert due to disturbance at work.Would be back then…..:P

Hey,I’m back to complete this blog.

On Friday(9/11/05), I can’t wait for my work to finish at 5pm,because I was looking forward to go to the Starwalk Charity Concert.I was hoping to get a glimpse of the singers especially Daniel,Jaclyn,Vic,Saiful and Victor in person,since I only watch them on TV only for Malaysian Idol.Not to forget that Marliyana,Eric,Chan Kwok Fai also participated.Everyone especially my colleagues is very  excited abt. Daniel the winner of Malaysian Idol 2005 that he is coming to make a performance at PISA. Without realizing abt. it, I was also infected with the Daniel frenzy. Thanks to my colleagues, I’m able to obtain the tickets at RM 10 without any hassle of me getting it at the information counter on the shopping complexes or The Star office.There is also a RM 50 ticket that is available to the first 300 people and they get to sit nearer to the stage. But not bad for the rest of us, as me and my colleagues manage to sit just behind the RM 50 sitting area.So we can get a pretty good view at the stages and to take some pics. A lot of the pics I have taken in that night is blur.(What a spoiler! Tks to my camera).Hehehe, I managed to video cam. during the performance of Daniel but to bad it didn’t come with a sound recording. I will have linked  the Real Media Player and encrypt the music together in this blog, for you all to see if only I know how to do it.

The concert starts at 8.15pm and we reach there at 7.15pm.Luckily my colleague came and fetch me,if not I won’t be able to reach there at 8pm also.Wow!U shld have look at how she drives,zig-zagging.If for me I will be still stuck at the traffic jam.How daring she is. ^^” . The whole group of us just listen to Daniel’s songs all the way to PISA on her car.(hahaha)

We reached there at 7.15pm and only went inside and take our seats at abt. 7.30pm after walking around searching for a good seat.For your information the highlighted singers only start singing at abt. 8.45pm.Before that at 8.15pm there was a dance performance by Oriental Dancing Troupe followed by a band called "Steel Guitars".  The first performance from the highlighted singers are Vic Teo  followed by Chan Kwok Fai,Jaclyn,Marliyana Omar,Vicktor,Saiful,Eric Lim and last but not least Daniel.In between the singing there is a performance of Boria by the Angkatan Budaya Sari,an charity auction hosted by Henry Butcher and the reappearance of Steel Guitars again.

Finally the concert ended at 11.15pm.Again we listen to Daniel’s Mimpi or Fei on the way home.

Have been driving car for quite some time now,but I’m still clueless about car maintenance. Once my car was jerking so I had to send my car for a check and a repair at my regular mechanic.He changed 3 things,and one of them were the plugs because it was coated with grease. I also ask the mechanic whether the car battery need to be change or not.He told me it could still last and that I don’t have to change yet.SO I believed him.Two weeks later my car couldn’t start.FANTASTIC!I was stuck at Paya Terubong on a Public Holiday.What to do?All of the repair shop was closed. I was forced to leave my car behind for 1 day there. For I remembered that once my regular mechanic wouldn’t come to Tanjung Bungah when my car couldn’t start at my college compound.He even recommended that I go to the nearest car mechanic then. T_T . I guessed he won’t be comming on that particular day also.

The following day, I managed to get my car battery changed at Ayer Hitam car repair shop,that was only when I have to asked untill the fourth repair shop!Some of the shops said they are not allowed to go out of the shop.(What a lame execuse,I thought they will provide on the road assistance.But of course they will charge extra.) Luckily for me the mechanic didn’t charge me any extra charges for going up to Paya Terubong.When I was about to leave, they told me that one of the tyre was nearly worn out and they could also change on the spot if I wanted to, but I didn’t change the tyre because I ‘m in hurry.

IF my car’s battery have not been changed that day, I wouldn’t have know that my tyres were to be worn out also.So I planned to change the tyres soon. Then, I was recommend by my collegue that she knows a tyre workshop.It happens that  my collegue’s brother owns the tyre shop. Ok. nevermind then, I will let his brother do the service for me since he said he can come and collect my car and returned to me on the same day before I finish my work. (Great I think) For I don’t have the time to send my car to my regular mechanic, as he would have close his shop at 6pm.By the time I get there, he will asked me to leave my car at his workshop and will only returned to me the next day at afternoon. (Gosh!Then how I’m going to work?)

At first, I was suppose to changed only 1 tyre,then my collegue’s bro. called and ask me whether I wanted to changed another tyre because one of the tyre I’m using is a Kancil’s tyre and it is also suppose to worn out anytime. (How come the tyre looks the same size as the regular ones,it is suppose to be smaller by size…. what!) No wonder my car is one sided heavier when I have someone sitting at the back of the car.Funnily, I thought the people was heavier on side.Didn’t cross my mind that it was my tyre. Even my family members didn’t know what was the problem then.(I was thinking,what the heck is the kancil’s tyre doing on my car.I didn’t recall having any mechanic to changed my tyre!!!!Then I figured out it was my mom who drove this car before and she handed to me a few years ago!Back then, would we have been cheated?).

In the end,I changed two tyres at the costs of RM 186.Then got extra charged at RM 9. Total was RM 195.What!!!! I asked the mechanic who sent back the car to me on that day.I asked what the RM 9 was? He says it was the tyre caps. The function was to prevent dirt and soil from getting into the tyres. Earlier he should have told me on the phone before fixing it.But then again,would I have agreed to put the tyres caps on? Of course I wouldn’t.Why waste RM 9 on these when months later you will discover the caps is gone ????? (Sheeesh!!! And of course I couldn’t just tell the mechanic to have the caps removed and deducted the RM 9 out of the bill.) Why make a fuss out of the RM 9? So I just paid the total bill. Just feel that it haven’t been worth it, that’s all. I always dreaded that I have to take the car for repair,how I wish if I know a bit on cars or at least someone who knows what to do. (Sigh!)

Tired or sleepy? I also don’t know,perhaps both also apply.Lately feels like did not get enough sleep.Wish I have more time sleep.Right now already have panda eyes.If still continue like this……i think I’m going to turn up like a zombie.Kehkehkeh.Hopefully I can get up one morning feeling energetic and refreshing.

Welcome to the circle of young adult.Yeap….finally I’m 21 years old already. Legally an adult by law.What is the defination of adult?The dictionary defines adult as a person grown to full size and strength. Does being 21 leads to freedom? Freedom to what?Freedom from my parents supervision?Freedom to make my own decision?Hahahahaha……from my point of view, no matter how old you are or successful,somehow parents will have an influence in our life and making decision, whether it is much or little.What will change, when i’m 21.I still like to watch cartoon and read comics.  :P  By being 21,that means I can go to the Casino and  drink liquor already  o_O  (hehehehe) without being arrested for being underaged.I have the right to vote also.Does that mean life is changing?Life is changing from each phases of life.When I’m in primary school ,I wish that I will grow up faster.When I’m in secondary school,I dreaded having to take PMR & SPM.Then when I completed my studies, I worried that if I will be able to get a job.The lists goes endless…but one thing for sure being 21 means that you have to shoulder a bigger responsibility and more worries(haha),become more mature in thinking and making a good decision so that your parents don’t have to worry abt. you. And it feels good not to totally depends on your parents for financial assistance.Then again,it only applies to certain of us that have started to work before the age of 21.I feels that after the age of 21, times flies faster….What do you think abt.that?Anyone?

Okay! Enough of that….

Now I will like to thank the people who have celebrated my 21st birthday with me….my friends,my family members and my collegues.To those who couldn’t make it to my party don’t keep it at heart.As i throughly appreciate your effort that you will like to come but couldn’t make it due to some circumstances.Thanks to those who sms and your e-cards also and also not to forget your presents.
